Create a folder, for example C:\VNISH on Windows, and put the downloaded .tar.gz inside it without unpacking or renaming it. Select the folder, not the archive. An empty-looking folder picker is normal: it shows folders, not files
Open the miner's web interface, check the installed version and your pools. Watch temperatures, hashrate and errors until stable before expanding to other miners
