The nine pages of 2008. The story only the network knows.
In 2008 nine pages arrived from a sender with a Japanese name, and an engineering student from Iga wrote back. What they discussed, no archive holds. In 2011 the sender went silent forever - and the engineer went to the mountains. He never claims the name. He only keeps the discipline the pages taught: proof of work, verified by anyone, trusted by no one's word.
In the firmware
This story is openly a legend - the character is fictional, and we say so. The discipline it carries is not: every number, file and checksum on this site is real and verifiable.
The rule
Proof of work is the only signature that matters.
